Due to -5 Celsius degree weather – the France vs Ireland game has been moved to another date (to be decided) – So the picks for that game will be reset and opened again when the new game date is confirmed. Well done to Wales in defeating Scotland, and England only just beating the Italians!

France,England and Wales came away the winners after the first round of the 6 Nations. We have 3 players who have picked the first round 100% correct – Tommo, rodger the dodger, and turmeric. But its still pretty close get your picks in for this weeks games.

NZ beat France by 8-7 in the world cup final – Australia beat Wales 21-18 to get 3rd. Well done to the top 3 in the NZvirtualsport competition below.

RWC Finals!

The final has arrived: France and New Zealand have progressed into the Rugby World Cup Final for 2011.

France narrowly defeated Wales by 1 point ( 9-8) and New Zealand defeated Australia 20-6 in a nail biting thriller.

This is a repeat of the 1987 finals.

The top 3 after the semi finals are:

1st: docrugby (310 points)

2nd: ericjmoore (306 points)

and new in at number 3 – Bultril10 (299 points) with Window dropping down to 15th.

It’s still anyones to win at the moment with another 24 points up for grabs in the last round!

The bonus game will be Wales vs Australia this week !

And on to the Semi Finals

Leading at the end of Round 5 is docrugby with a massive 45 points this round and a total of 305 points – heading off ericjmoore on 290 points and back to Window on 284 points in 3rd.

Tough games again this week with Wales taking out Ireland, France taking out England, Australia upsetting South Africa and NZ grinding out a victory over Argentina.

Rugby Update

A couple of hard to pick results this week – with the Canada vs Japan Draw, the valiant performance by Samoa against South Africa and the huge upset of Tonga beating France! The top 10 still only separated by 7 points!

The current leader – Bultril10 out in front with 236 points(after the England Scotland game)

Catflappo – 2nd equal with ericjmoore on 235 points

Still some interesting games left for the rest of the round tomorrow – Argentina v Georgia (can Georgia cause a huge upset and let Scotland in) can Italy step up against a battling Ireland- and how many tries will the ABs score against a proud Canada.

NZVirtual World cup update

At this stage in the tournament (after the NZ vs France pool game) we have a very close competition. The top 10 are separated by only 7 points- with the 3 top players all tied on 178 points: Rozza, Ponies and Carsty.

There is still a long way to go, and now it seems the big guns are finally clocking up the scores most of you predicted would happen in the first round with Australia, South Africa and England all getting 31+ victories this round. The fight is on for placings in the pools, with Samoa and Fiji both desperate to win today. Will there be another major upset? Can Scotland take the hopes away from Argentina ?

Surprisingly 75% of you think Argentina will win!
